Hours of jailhouse and courtroom recordings in Drew Peterson's murder-for-hire case were released Tuesday and reveal Drew Peterson talking about everything from murder to birthday cards from female admirers.

Peterson was convicted May 31 of plotting the murder of Will County State's Attorney James Glasgow.

The newly released recordings reveal several sides of Drew Peterson.

In a 2013 recording, just before Peterson was sentenced for murdering his third wife Kathleen Savio, there was an outburst in open court:

Judge: Say whatever you choose.
Drew Peterson: I've been forced to stay silent since the beginning of all this. I did not kill Kathleen!
Victim's sister: Yes you did!
Judge: There won't be any comments from the audience.
Victim's sister: Liar.
Judge: Ma'am. Ma'am. I'd like you to leave the courtroom.

While Savio's sister was ejected from the courtroom, their family took comfort in knowing Peterson was headed to prison for 36 years.

Once he was behind bars, Peterson began plotting with another inmate to murder Glasgow, the man who put him away.

Peterson didn't know it at the time, but his co-conspirator was wearing a wire.

Drew Peterson: I can't wait to get out of, If I can get out of prison.
Informant: And you said....with Glasgow gone, right?
Drew Peterson: Yes, It will get me out.
Informant: It's a go. A 100 percent?
Drew Peterson: Not a 100 percent. It's better.

That recording - and others made inside a Downstate prison - led a jury to convict Peterson of solicitation of murder.

Now, he'll never go free.

"The prosecutor has a right to go home and sleep soundly and night and not get a bullet in his head after he's done his job," Glasgow said.

The informant testified in court that Peterson said he killed his fourth wife, Stacy Peterson, but that wasn't recorded. What is heard on tape is Peterson joking that she must be alive and still out there.

Peterson has never been charged in connection to Stacy Peterson's disappearance
