Dramatic surveillance video shows clerk firing on robbers
Dramatic surveillance video shows a clerk in a north Houston convenience store opening fire on would-be robbers.

HOUSTON -- A clerk in North Houston said she believes three men were involved in a robbery attempt on her store.

The clerk, who would only identify herself as Lisa, said the getaway driver had made earlier purchases in the Fulton Street store. She said right after her boss left, two men walked in. One was wearing a hoodie. The other was wearing a hat.

"They said give me your money, I saw the gun in their hand," Lisa said. "That's when I started shooting."

They came to the side door, but she shot first - several times.

"I just went crazy I guess," Lisa said.

"I don't think they were expecting she was going to straight shoot them," said Ricky, another story employee.

The men ran off, dropping the money bag. Lisa isn't sure if they were hit, but she's OK.

"I'm really nervous," she said.

"I'm glad she's OK. That's the best thing I can say, that she's OK," Ricky said.
