Photographer captures neighborhoods a day after a shooting

CHICAGO -- Though some people may only relate certain areas around the city to violence, shootings are not normal in any neighborhood.

Chicago Tribune photographer Brian Cassella joined Windy City LIVE to talk about his project called "The Next Day" where he visits areas after a fatal shooting had occurred less than 24 hours earlier. He attempts to capture what the neighborhood looks like on a normal day and shows how these neighborhoods rebound from something so devastating. Brian hopes to display the contrast of moods in these neighborhoods within such a short time span.
