2 arrested for alleged prostitution of Chicago 14-year-old
Two Texas women are charged in a sex trafficking case involving a 14-year-old Chicago girl.

HOUSTON, Texas (WLS) -- Two Texas women have been arrested and are facing charges in a sex trafficking case involving a 14-year-old Chicago girl.

Police said 20-year-old Teresa Henry and 24-year-old Centurrie Deshunn Garrett used social media to lure the girl from Chicago to Texas for the purpose of forcing her into prostitution.

"Basically, what we had is a 14-year-old female that was lured down to Houston by these other two females and basically put into prostitution here in Houston," said Harris County Constable Mark Herman.

The pair allegedly advertised the girl as a 19-year-old on a website. Undercover officers saw her photo and set up a meeting at a hotel, where she was rescued.

Police set up a meeting at a Houston hotel to catch and arrest the two women who were allegedly trafficking the girl. Henry is charged with human trafficking of a minor and compelling prostitution of a minor.

When undercover officers went to the hotel room, Henry was there orchestrating the deal. Police said Garrett was in an adjoining room with her six-week-old child.

"The main thing is we rescued the 14-year-old girl and we got her off the streets in a safe environment," Herman said.

The victim was taken into protective custody and is on her way back to Chicago where she will be reunited with her family.

Police said it is possible there are more underage victims and that Henry and Garrett could face further charges.
