Thousands of people and their pets are heading to Soldier Field on May 21, 2017 for the Anti-Cruelty Society?s 23rd Annual Bark in the Park.

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Thousands of people and their pets are heading to Soldier Field on May 21, 2017 for the Anti-Cruelty Society's 23rd Annual Bark in the Park. Starting at 10:00 a.m., an optional 5K race gives dog owners a chance to see the city starting from the Stadium Green at Soldier Field. The party continues until 2:00 p.m. with lots of activities: including an agility course, professional demonstrations, do-it-yourself projects, and even a team scavenger hunt! Money raised through registration and donations will be used to support the Anti-Cruelty Society, Chicago's oldest animal welfare organization, founded in 1939.

Hours: Registration opens at 8:30 a.m., walk kickoff at 10 a.m., party continues until 2 p.m.

Admission: $40/adult in advance, $45/ day-of. $20/child (ages 3-13), $25/ day-of. Kids under 3 and dogs are free.
