West Loop now with new farmer's market
Fresh, locally-sourced fruits, vegetables, meat, bakery items, and more are now available in Chicago's West Loop.

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Fresh, locally-sourced fruits, vegetables, meat, bakery items, and more are now available in Chicago's West Loop at the Green City Market. Every Saturday in June through October from 8 a.m. - 1 p.m., visitors can enjoy a taste of local flavors and meet the people bringing the food to the table. Along with great food, the Green City Market also features yoga classes, chef cooking demonstrations, and a composting program. There are now four Green City Markets around the city: at the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum, Wrigleyville, Lincoln Park, and the West Loop. Executive director of the Green City Market, Melissa Flynn, joined ABC 7 live from to talk about the importance of fresh and local food.
