Man killed in West Side hit-and-run

A 42-year-old man was fatally struck by a car in a hit-and-run crash Friday, Chicago police said.

The man was walking in the street in the 3500-block of West Congress Parkway at about 2:27 a.m., police said.

Police said the car fled the scene, last seen traveling west on Congress Parkway from St. Louis Avenue.

The car is described by police as dark gray in color and possibly a BMW 325/330/ The car sustained damage to the left side and front end.
