3 plead not guilty in fatal shooting of Portage man

PORTAGE, Ind. (WLS) -- Three men charged in connection with the shooting death of a man in Portage, Ind., have entered not guilty pleas.

Prosecutors say the men broke into a car outside the home of Alexius Tapia Friday morning. Tapia confronted them and was shot and killed.

Bond was denied for the alleged gunman, Thomas Reichler, 18, who is charged with murder, and Korey Izynski, 19, who is charged with theft and assisting a criminal.

The third suspect, Nathaniel Sipe, 19, is charged with theft. His bond is set at $20,000.
