"Making Obama"

WBEZ in Chicago is back with another fantastic podcast in the "Making..." series. This time they are "Making Obama." The free podcast follows Barack Obama's early years in Chicago as a Community Organizer and leads up to his big speech at the Democratic National Convention in 2004. Obama and 50 others sit for interviews. Click THIS LINK for details on how to download it.

Goodman Theatre & Stacy Keach

The fantastically talented Stacy Keach is coming back to Chicago and Goodman Theatre to reprise his one-man show on Ernest Hemingway, "Pamplona." Keach attempted to premiere the show last year when he became ill on opening night forcing him to cancel the production. I was there opening night and what I saw I loved, so I am definitely looking forward to this. Tickets go on sale February 23 at GoodmanTheatre.org.

"The Humans"

You have just a few more days to see Broadway In Chicago's "The Humans." DO SEE IT! This play won the Tony in 2016 and it is so worth your time and money. Richard Thomas and Pamela Reed play a married couple who go visit their daughter on Thanksgiving Day in her less than stellar New York apartment. With and elderly grandmother in tow and another daughter dealing with a break-up, dad has a secret that he has not shared. This play is every Thanksgiving you have ever hated and it's smart and funny and utterly fantastic. It's playing at The Cadillac Palace Theatre until Feb. 11. Tickets are available at BroadwayInChicago.com.

"Black Panther"

Critics are raving over Marvel Studios' "Black Panther." With a 99% score on RottenTomatoes, critics cannot get enough!

Pete Travers, Rolling Stone & ABCNews.com: "Say this about Black Panther, which raises movie escapism very near the level of art: You've never seen anything like it in your life."

Toronto Sun - "Black Panther is every bit as good as you were hoping. Actually -- it's better."

Associated Press - "...The wait was worth it."

NY Times - "Most big studio fantasies take you out for a joy ride only to hit the same exhausted story and franchise-expanding beats. Not this one."

You still have time to win tickets to an advance screening in Chicago on Tuesday, February 13. Click THIS LINK to enter.
