33-year-old man fatally shot at Avalon Park auto shop

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A 33-year-old man was fatally shot at an auto body shop in the city's Avalon Park neighborhood, police said.

The incident happened near 80th and Stony Island Avenue around 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, police said. The man was shot multiple times by an armed offender, who allegedly fled on foot.

The victim died at the scene. Police are continuing to investigate.
