CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago police are issuing an alert for the city's Brighton Park neighborhood after an attempted kidnapping.

Police said a boy was walking north on Mozart near 43rd Street when two men allegedly approached him in a car and demanded he come with them around 7:55 a.m. Friday.

Officials said the driver allegedly jumped out and chased the boy, but he got away.

Police said the suspects were driving a silver or gray four-door sedan with tinted front and rear windows.
