Bellwood man charged with trying to strike police with vehicle

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Justin Johnson, of Bellwood, has been charged with trying to strike police with his vehicle after an accident, police said.

Johnson was allegedly found in a wanted vehicle involved in a traffic accident, and attempted to strike officers with his vehicle in the 600-block of N. Kedzie Tuesday around 7:43 p.m., police said.

In addition to several reckless driving, attempting to flee and aggravated assault of police charges, he also faces one misdemeanor DUI charge. He appeared in bond court Wednesday.
