Police say a woman walking home from the gym was sexually assaulted by two teens in Philadelphia's Port Richmond section late Thursday night.

PORT RICHMOND -- Police say two teenagers were arrested after a woman walking home from the gym was sexually assaulted in Philadelphia's Port Richmond section late Thursday night.

The incident happened just after 11:00 p.m. on the 3900 block of Richmond Street.

The 19-year-old woman was approached by two males, ages 14 and 17.

Police say one of the suspects was armed.

They allegedly robbed her of her cash, cell phone and other items.

Police say the teens then dragged the woman under the Betsy Ross Bridge near some rail road tracks and sexually assaulted her.

The suspects threatened the woman and told her that if she called the police, they would kill her and her family.

The woman still called police and the suspects were arrested.

One suspect was picked up within thirty minutes and the second suspect a short time later.

Police say they were found with some of the woman's items.

The victim was able to positively identify the suspects.

Chief Insp. Scott Small said, "Fortunately where the sexual assault and robbery took place by the train tracks, there are several businesses and appear to be large warehouses. They do have exterior cameras, so hopefully these cameras recorded something that can also help us with our investigation."

The suspects are both facing charges for sexual assault and kidnapping.
