A large piece of concrete collapsed at a construction site just before 4 p.m. Thursday at a building near the Chicago River between Lake and Randolph.

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A piece of concrete collapsed at a construction site near the Chicago River between Lake and Randolph, officials said.

A large first responder presence could be seen at 150 N. Riverside Plaza, where a skyscraper has been under construction for over a year.

The Chicago Fire Department said a 10-foot by 10-foot section of concrete collapsed in the interior of the building just before 4 p.m. Thursday.

A gurney was seen being brought into the site, but fire officials said no one was injured.

Activity could be seen near the northeast corner of the structure. Fire officials said they are searching the debris pile to confirm all workers are accounted for.

Clark Construction, the company working on the project, said the incident is being investigated and they are they are fully cooperating with local and federal investigators.
