JOLIET, Ill. (WLS) -- Bethany McKee is the alleged mastermind behind the murders of Terrance Rankins and Eric Glover. The two were found strangled to death in a Joliet home in January 2013.

Relatives of both the accused and victims were at the courthouse Wednesday for the second day of a bench trial. McKee and three others are charged in the murders.

One of the suspects, Alisa Massaro, agreed to plead guilty to lesser charges in exchange for testimony against the others. She is expected to be called in McKee's trial on Thursday. During the trial Wednesday, her father, Phillip Massaro, told the judge he was home but asleep during the murder.

"It sounded like someone was wrestling or something. I yelled, keep it down up there," he said. Massaro then told the judge he went back to sleep. He left that morning and returned home to find police all over the neighborhood.

A Joliet detective also testified on Wednesday. He said McKee's fingerprint was found on a tequila bottle.

Prosecutors allege McKee planned the murders. Her attorneys argue there is no physical evidence linking her to the crimes.
