Demonstrators call for end to Israel's bombings

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Demonstrators in downtown Chicago called for an end to Israel's bombings in the Palestinian territories.

The protest started outside the Israeli consulate. The Consul General says it is Hamas that attacks Israeli civilians.

Militants continue to fire rockets into Israel, and Israeli warplanes are pounding what the military says are Hamas targets.

The two-day assault has killed at least 60 Palestinians.
