Elderly male body found in Indiana swamp near I-94

LAKE STATION, Ind. (WLS) -- The body of Ronald Skertic, 66, was found in a weeded swampy area in Lake Station, Ind., police said.

Police said they found Skertic near Ripley Street and I-94 around 7:30 a.m. Saturday. He was reported missing from the Lake Park Residential Care facility on June 24.

Lake Station police are continuing to investigate a cause of death.
