EVANSTON, Ill. (WLS) -- Firefighters battled a blaze at a tow lot filled with cars north suburban Evanston Sunday afternoon.

The fire broke out at about 3 Sunday afternoon at North Shore Towing at Oakton and McCormick.

The cause of the fire will be difficult to be determined given the high density of crusted autos, fire officials said.

No workers were at the location when the fire began and there are no reports of any injuries.

ComEd reported power outages to 726 Skokie customers and 54 Evanston customers due to downed power lines adjacent to property caused by fire.
