Governor Bruce Rauner called off a Juneteenth event scheduled for Monday because of security concerns.

The governor was scheduled to speak at the Dusable Museum of African-American history.

On Friday, Father Michael Pfleger posted on Facebook that the governor's event was disrespectful to the African-American community because of his budget cuts.

More than 1,000 people commented, many of them criticizing Father Pleger for his remarks.
