Man shot, killed while in driver's seat in Fuller Park, Chicago police say

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A man was shot and killed while sitting in the driver's seat on Sunday, Chicago police said.

The shooting happened at about 5:58 a.m. in the 4200-block of S. Wentworth Avenue, according to police.

CPD said a 22-year-old man was sitting in the driver's seat when two cars pulled up next to him and started shooting.

The man was shot in the chest and shoulder. He died at the scene, police said.

CPD detectives are conducting a homicide investigation.
