DWIGHT, Ill. (WLS) -- Dwight police say the gun used in a recent suicide is the same weapon that was used to murder two women in an earlier homicide.

The .40 caliber Glock handgun was recovered at the scene where Joseph Sipple took his own life on June 26, and had previously been reported stolen in a residential burglary in Morris, Ill.

Investigators say this is allegedly the same weapon used to fatally shoot Donna and Kelli Denker on June 14 in the 200-block of West North Street. The boyfriend of Kelli Denker was also shot in the incident but has recovered.

Sipple was also allegedly involved in a residential burglary of the Denker home in August 2013.

Police are continuing to investigate.
