Homewood police locate boy's family

HOMEWOOD, Ill. (WLS) -- Homewood police said a toddler found alone in the south suburb Monday morning got away from his elderly caretaker.

The babysitter believed the boy was asleep, officials said.

The child was found in the 18800-block of Morgan Street around 9 a.m. Monday. Homewood police released a photo in an attempt to find his parents or guardian. They contacted police Monday afternoon.
