A 43-year-old suburban Ingleside man was charged after authorities found $60,000 worth of counterfeit Nike and Adidas apparel items, according to the Lake County Sheriff's Office.

Felipe Aparicio-Nolasco faces one felony count of possession/sale of counterfeit goods.

On Monday, about 170 pieces of fake apparel were delivered to Aparicio-Nolasco, and authorities said they later found 1,000 more items inside his home.

Aparicio-Nolasco later told investigators that he had been selling the items to local soccer teams.

The arrest stems from an investigation that started in February by the Lake County Sheriff's Office and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

He is being held in lieu of $5,000.00 bail.

Aparicio-Nolasco's next court date is scheduled for May 19.
