CHICAGO (WLS) -- The fun of Lollapalooza may be over, but the work to fix Grant Park is just getting started.

The three-day music festival ended two weeks ago, but the effects will be felt for at least a couple of months as promoters spend an estimated $236,223 on repairs.

That number is actually $30,000 less than last year's estimate. A contractor put together a post-event assessment to come up with a budget and plan to restore the grounds. C3 Presents, the festival's promoters, is responsible for the costs under the agreement it made with the Chicago Park District.

Rain usually plays a part in the three-day music fest, and this year was no different. On the third day, everyone was evacuated because of a storm. Festivalgoers were allowed back inside but told to leave 45 minutes earlier than normal because of the weather. The wet weather also left behind its share of damage.

Repairs in Grant Park will continue through the third week of September.
