HAMMOND, Ind. (WLS) -- A man was shot and killed while driving on the Borman Expressway (I-80/94) in northwest Indiana.
Emergency crews responded to a call of a hit-and-run crash around 7 p.m. Thursday. They found Dominique Wright, 25, with multiple gunshot wounds inside a black, older-model Oldsmobile on I-80/94 near Kennedy Avenue.
Police said Wright, of the 2200-block of Tangelwood Drive in Hammond, was shot while driving on the expressway near Cline Avenue.
His car continued traveling west on the expressway after the shooting and struck another vehicle, before coming to a stop on the inside berm of the interstate.
Wright's death was ruled a homicide.
