McDonald's Oak Brook HQ evacuated after suspicious package found

The headquarters of McDonald's in the western suburbs have been evacuated after a suspicious package was found.

The complex on 22nd Street was evacuated around 10:45 a.m. Friday.

The DuPage County Bomb Squad has been called and the facility is being searched. Approximately 1,300 employees work in McDonald's Plaza building where the package was found.

A spokesman for McDonald's said the building reopened again around 1 p.m. Investigators found the package was safe.
