CHICAGO (WLS) -- The mother of a 3-year-old found dead near the city's Rogers Park neighborhood has been charged in connection with the toddler's death.
Tylesha Griffin, 22, told police she found Donnell Coakley unresponsive in his bed around 8:40 p.m. Friday in the 6500-block of N. Seeley Avenue.
He was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Police said Griffin is responsible for her son's death and charged her with first-degree murder.
She is due in court on Monday.
