Naperville mom accused of leaving kids alone to buy heroin

NAPERVILLE, Ill. (WLS) -- A Naperville mother was arrested after allegedly leaving her young children alone as she went to buy drugs.

Police said they received a tip that Melissa Stevens, 37, was leaving her young children alone while she went to Chicago to buy heroin.

Police say they tracked Stevens down last week while she on one of those drug runs.
