NW Indiana man charged in road rage incident on I-80/94

LAKE STATION, Ind. (WLS) -- A northwest Indiana man is in jail after he was charged in a road rage incident that involved a driver from Chicago.

Indiana State Police say Emmanuel Ontiveros-Leyva made an obscene gesture at a man from Chicago and refused to let him exit I-80/94 on Tuesday.

The other driver says Ontiveros-Leyva then shot his back window out with a BB gun. Police say they recovered that gun.

Ontiveros-Leyva faces criminal recklessness charges.
