CHICAGO (WLS) -- It will be another year before the damaged escalator at the CTA O'Hare station gets replaced, officials said.

The Blue Line derailment and crash back in March left the escalator inoperable.

Right now, passengers are using stairs to get from the CTA station up to the airport.

Officials have not announced the exact construction schedule or the cost.
