CHICAGO (WLS) -- Just in time for the summer travel season, a security checkpoint at O'Hare International Airport has been redesigned.

Officials held a ribbon-cutting ceremony Thursday at Checkpoint 3. The changes are aimed at making the screening process more comfortable for travelers.

Travelers will find cushioned benches where they can put their shoes on after passing through security. There are also chairs so passengers can relax before taking off.
