A 7-Eleven in northwest suburban Park Ridge was robbed Tuesday morning by a masked man who claimed to have a weapon.

Police received a report around 4:30 a.m. of an armed robbery at the convenience store located on Northwest highway near Oakton Street.

When officers arrived, the clerk told them a robber walked into the store, approached the counter and implied he had a weapon. The clerk said the man never showed one.
