Man allegedly groped 2 women at Aurora haunted house, police say

AURORA, Ill. (WLS) -- A New York man was charged with battery after he allegedly groped two women at a haunted house in Aurora, police said.

Officers responded to a haunted house located near River and New York streets in the west suburb around 7:30 p.m. Sunday.

Security guards were holding Ameet Kumar, 30, who allegedly grabbed a 20-year-old female employee's backside several times and inappropriately touched a 40-year-old woman's chest as he exited the building. Officers took him into custody after an initial investigation.

Kumar, of the 300-block of Richard Avenue in Hicksville, New York, was charged with two counts of battery. He is due in court on Nov. 10 in Aurora.
