Police warn of daytime burglaries in West Town

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Police are urging residents to be on alert after a string of burglaries in the city's West Town neighborhood.

The burglaries happened Wednesday in the 1400-block of West Huron during the daytime hours.

Police say the suspect or suspects forced entry through the front doors of apartments and took property.

Residents are urged to keep doors and windows locked and report any suspicious activity.
