CHICAGO (WLS) -- Huge flames caused the roof of an auto parts warehouse to collapse on Chicago's West Side overnight.

The fire started around 12:45 a.m. Tuesday at I.M. Matic Machining Co. in the 4000-block of West Fulton Street in the city's West Garfield Park neighborhood.

People said they heard explosions in the area, but crews said it was probably tires popping inside the building.

About 100 firefighters worked the scene to get the two-alarm fire under control. Flames were shooting through the roof, which caved in nearly 30 minutes after the blaze broke out. The fire was struck shortly after the collapse.

No one was hurt, fire officials said. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
