Snow cone shop run by sex offender stirs controversy in Illinois town

TAYLORVILLE, Ill. (WLS) -- A businessman who is also a registered sex offender is causing a controversy in one Illinois town.

Roy Sherman, the owner of "Ice Madness" in Taylorville, was convicted for indecent solicitation of a child. Residents said they're not happy the shop has opened.

Sherman said that he'll never be there during business hours and that he's a different person now from when he was convicted.
