WATCH: Woman bolts out of courtroom after sentencing on theft charges

BEREA, Ohio -- A woman is still on the run after she bolted from an Ohio courtroom during her sentencing on a theft charge, ABC affiliate WEWS-TV reports.

Police say a judge had just sentenced Stephanie Rybkoski to 180 days in jail for stealing from a Walmart. She asked the judge if she could step outside the courtroom to use her cellphone to let her family know about the ruling.

The judge said yes and sent Bailiff Mathew Bedford to escort Rybkoski into the hall so she could make the call.

But when Rybkoski walked through the doors, she took off running down the hall, out the front doors and into the parking lot. She then jumped into her car, put it into reverse and ran over the bailiff who was chasing after her.

The bailiff suffered minor injuries and is OK. Rybkoski is still at large and now will face escape, assault and resisting arrest charges when she's captured.
