Wisconsin girl, stabbed 19 times, recovering well

WAUKESHA, Wisc. (WLS) -- The 12- year- old Wisconsin girl is doing better after being stabbed by two classmates who are charged as adults.

Her family says she's walking the halls of the hospital in Waukesha and watching TV in her wheelchair.

The girl was stabbed 19 times Saturday. Her classmates told detectives the attack was an attempt to please a fictional character on a horror website.

In a statement today the victim's family says, "Our little girl is a fighter and is making strides of improvement each and every day."
