Woman, 33, stabbed while jogging in suburban forest preserve

PALATINE, Ill. (WLS) -- A woman was stabbed while jogging in the Deer Grove Forest Preserve in northwest suburban Palatine late Saturday afternoon.

Police say the attacker stabbed the 33-year old victim in her upper abdomen and ran away.

The victim managed to drive to a nearby house on Dundee Road near Route 14 and call police. She is in stable condition Saturday night.

The offender is a bald Hispanic male, 5'7" tall and wearing two earrings in his right ear.
