Woman gets 10 days in jail for trying to poison coworker

ROCKVILLE, Md. (WLS) -- A Maryland woman has been sentenced to 10 days in jail after trying to poison her coworker.

Luz Lemonfield pleaded guilty to the charge after she was caught dumping a beauty product into her coworker's water bottle. The incident was caught on surveillance video.

The victim went to the hospital after drinking the water, but will be okay.

Lemonfield said she wasn't trying to kill the woman, she just wanted to get back at her for an ongoing fight.
