SHALDON, England (WLS) -- Say hello to the world's smallest monkeys.

Three White-bellied pygmy marmosets were born this week at the Shaldon Wildlife Trust, a small zoo in England.

The monkeys are the world's smallest, weighing just less than 1/4 lbs. as full-grown adults.

Parents "Mork" and "Mindy" had previously only had one baby. Triplets are rare for pygmy marmosets, and it's even rarer for all three to survive, according to a zoo press release.

Pygmy marmosets, native to South America, are facing several threats in the wild, including habitat destruction and being sold as pets. The zoo says the monkeys do not fare well as pets, despite their diminutive size.
