Zenon Sykuta Elementary School closed due to vandalism

COUNTRY CLUB HILLS, Ill. (WLS) -- Zenon Sykuta Elementary School in Country Club Hills canceled classes on Friday because of vandalism.

According to a recorded telephone message, the south suburban school building will be closed for cleaning on Friday.

It is unclear exactly when the vandals struck the District 160 school. Country Club Hills police have not commented on the incident yet.

Classes are scheduled to resume on Monday.

Meadowview School and Southwood Middle School are open as scheduled. Employees are to report to Southwood on Friday.
