Bud Billiken Parade returns to Chicago's South Side
Hundreds of thousands of people are set to once again celebrate the annual Chicago Defender Charities Bud Billiken Parade And Picnic.

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Hundreds of thousands of people are set to once again celebrate a Chicago tradition on the city's south side: the annual Chicago Defender Charities Bud Billiken Parade and Picnic. The purpose of the parade is to give underprivileged children the chance to be in the limelight.

ABC 7 is a media sponsor and will have float in the parade. Dr. Marc A. Sengstacke, vice president of the Chicago Defender Charities, and Michael E. Reed, chief data collector with the Bud Billiken Parade and Picnic and Chicago Defender Charities, Inc., came into our ABC 7 Eyewitness News studio to talk about this year's topic, "Education: The One Tool You Can't Lose."

You can also watch the parade live on ABC7 and on demand on ABC7chicago.com.
