CHICAGO (WLS) -- Catholic Charities is hosting its fourth annual "Veterans in Need" dinner on Friday, May 29 at the Union League Club to raise funds for its Veterans services.
The event hopes to raise $130,000 to aid veterans with housing, substance abuse recovery and job placement throughout Cook and Lake Counties. Congressional Medal of Honor recipient Col. Harvey Curtiss "Barney" Barnum is the keynote speaker.
The reception for the event begins at 5:30 p.m. followed by dinner at 7 p.m. and a raffle featuring an exciting array of prizes! There also will be a raffle with prizes that include a three-night stay in beautiful Breckenridge, Colo., tickets for the Chicago Bears, Chicago Blackhawks, Notre Dame football and overnight and dining experiences throughout Chicago.
