CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago Police continue to fight gun violence, and now nurses are taking a stand to stop the epidemic. The Chicago Chapter of the National Black Nurses Association is hosting a free town hall meeting on April 30, 2016 beginning at 10am at Liberty Baptist Church. Nurses rarely speak out about political or social issues; but when those wounded in shootings arrive in emergency rooms, it is the nurses and doctors who heal their wounds. Now they're saying enough is enough. Dr. Daisy Harmon-Allen PhD, the Chicago Chapter President of NBNA, and Rev. Evelyn Collier-Dixon, Program Chairwoman of the Chicago Chapter of NBNA sat down with ABC 7 Eyewitness News to talk about gun violence.
