NORTH CHICAGO, Ill. (WLS) -- The city of North Chicago kicked off its holiday celebrations on Monday.

The Brass Ambassadors of Naval Station Great Lakes provided holiday music for the city's annual party.

The event is now held at the North Chicago Fire Department because it has gotten too big for City Hall, so Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus took a fire engine to the party instead of their usual sleigh.
