CHICAGO (WLS) -- The Chinese American Service League is hosting its 27th Annual Dinner Gala on May 11, 2016 at The Field Museum. The event will feature music, dancing, and food; all to benefit the many programs CASL supports throughout the year. ABC 7 is a proud sponsor of the upcoming gala. Ravi Baichwal, Eric Horng, Judy Hsu, Ji Suk Yi, and Linda Yu will all attend the fun.

CASL offers a Chef Training program. The program teaches western-style cooking and English as a Second Language to students of all ages and backgrounds. The goal is to teach students the skills needed for entry-level food service industry jobs. The Chef Training program is enrolling now for Spring 2016, which begins May 16th. CASL President and Co-Founder, Bernie Wong, and Head Instructor of CASL's Chef Training Program, Chef John Claybrooke, visited ABC 7 Eyewitness News to talk about the upcoming gala and CASL's many services.
