Bears to help pay for trainers at all CPS high school football games

CHICAGO (WLS) -- More health and safety will be provided for student athletes who participate in the Chicago Public Schools 2014 high school football program.

The Chicago Bears will provide annual funding to the school district to ensure that certified athletic trainers will be on the sidelines of all CPS varsity football games.

Athletico Physical Therapy is also helping that program.

Last year, trainers treated nearly 500 student athletes during football games.
