Hot-shooting Sky beat Wings 92-87, snap 4-game skid

ARLINGTON, Texas -- Cappie Pondexter scored 18 points to lead six Chicago players in double figures as the Sky beat the Dallas Wings 92-87 on Sunday to end a four-game skid.

Elena Delle Donne added 14 for Chicago, while Jamierra Faulkner and Allie Quigley had 13 points apiece. Imani Boyette and Tamera Young added 10 points each. Faulkner had nine assists, giving her 30 in the last three games.

The Sky, ranked seventh in The Associated Press WNBA Power Poll, used a 26-4 run to take a 37-20 lead with 7:47 left in the second quarter and led the rest of the way.

Chicago, which shot a season-high 58.6 percent, made 24 of 37 (64.9 percent) first-half field-goal attempts en route to a 56-47 lead at the break.

Odyssey Sims tied her season high with 23 points to lead the fourth-ranked Wings (3-3). Karima Christmas had 14 points, seven rebounds and a career-high six assists.
