CHICAGO (WLS) -- The lack of snow did not keep athletes from competing in Chicago's Lakeview neighborhood Saturday.

The Special Olympics Chicago held its annual Snowshoe competitions in Hamlin Park.

Athletes have been training throughout the fall months for the competition.

Winners from Saturday's competitions will look to go for gold in Galena in the upcoming February games.
